It’s always great to return to the lovely Matfen Hall for a wedding and Charlotte & Jason’s day was AMAZING!

I had already met Charlotte & Jason a few weeks earlier when we did a pre-wedding shoot together at Druridge Bay. We spent a chilled hour in the park and on the beach capturing some relaxed images and dispelling any nerves they had about being in front of the camera - there are a couple of images from this shoot below. I really enjoyed the time we spent together so was very much looking forward to the big day when it arrived!

Matfen Hall always comes up trumps for a wedding and this was no exception. A large venue with huge grounds and some amazing views across open countryside. This is a perfect combination for taking a wander with the wedding couple to grab some beautiful photos after the ceremony. And then of course there is the stunning Great Hall where Charlotte and Jason held their beautiful wedding ceremony. It’s hard to imagine any bride making anything other than a grand entrance down the wonderful staircase.

Kathryn and Victoria had helped Charlotte and her bridesmaids look perfectly stunning for the big day with their hair and makeup, topped off with bouquets from Enchanted flowers which looked…. well…. enchanting! It was also great to work alongside Polsar Imagery for the first time too as they were capturing video throughout the day.

The wedding cake from Treat Someone to Cakes looked stunning adorned with flowers. I think I actually managed to catch someone trying to steal a strawberry from it in one photo. Have a scroll down and see what you reckon?!

All in all a perfect day. I loved working with Charlotte and Jason and was delighted to be able to provide them with a gallery of fully edited wedding photos with which to remember their special day. Here’s just a few below.
