A winter wedding at Charlton Hall in Northumberland - a great way to end the year

This wasn’t quite the end of the year - there was still one day to go! So how to describe Charlton Hall? I guess you could say it’s a traditional Northumberland country house building with a distinctly non-traditional, quirky and slightly wacky (in a good way) interior. Someone is definitely ‘making a statement’ and that’s exactly why Amanda & Ed chose it for their wedding.

The first moment the bride’s dad spies her is always a lovely moment to capture.

See what I mean about quirky? But then who wouldn’t want a giraffe at their wedding?

The wedding ceremony room with its festoon of lights is pretty mind-blowing on first sight too, the twinkling lights providing a beautiful backdrop for the photos of the main event..

The room looks equally stunning from the other end as the happy couple makes their exit down the aisle.

Even in December it was possible for us to get outside for a while to enjoy the lovely grounds and catch some photo moments with just the bride and groom.

Moving on the wedding breakfast and what a look had been created! Real wow factor.

We also managed to grab a just few quiet moments with the bride and groom before the party really kicked off.

And what a party it was!
