Secret Newcastle wedding proposal photos

I always LOVE getting booked for wedding proposal photo shoots like these! It’s so beautiful to witness and such a privilege to be able to photograph the special engagement moment forever.

We generally need a good story to explain to a partner why I’m there without giving the game away. In the case of Abbie and Chris I sent an email for Chris to show Abbie explaining they had won a maternity shoot in a competition he had (not) entered! Abbie arrived with Chris expecting a maternity shoot around the lake at Killingworth. It obviously turned into a whole lot more…

After spending a little while getting a few shots to help them both feel comfortable, Chris stepped it up a notch by going down on one knee!

SUCH a surprise for Abbie and we got some lovely shots of her fab reaction. And yes, she did say ‘yes’!

Abbie and Chris were such an gorgeous couple to work with and they made it a complete pleasure to do the shoot. I really can’t wait for the wedding now!
